S.R.A. Developments Ltd: Ultrasonic Surgical Scalpel

S.R.A. Developments Ltd. are leading innovators of ultrasonic products for medical, domestic and industrial applications.

Early in 2003 they approached us for help in developing and producing tooling for their latest ultrasonic surgical scalpels, the Lotus range.

As with many other clients from the medical sector, a great deal of effort was required to achieve a solution to their strict material and processing demands. A high specification material was needed to meet the temperature, stress and sterilisation criteria set down by S.R.A.

Subsequent problems from using this material were resolved through a successful program of tool and process changes resulting in a world-leading product.
